Who We Are
AltaCom (Abatri Solutions Inc.) is a Managed IT and Cybersecurity company based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We have been serving businesses across Alberta since 2011.
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through our website (www.altacom.ca) and inquiries. It applies to website visitors and prospective clients.
What We Collect
Contact form submissions — when you fill out our contact or inquiry form, we collect your name, email address, phone number, company name, and the message you send us.
Analytics data — we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our site. This includes page views, session duration, device type, and approximate location (city-level). IP addresses are anonymised.
Cookies — our site uses functional cookies to support basic site operation and analytics. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
How We Use It
To respond to your inquiry or quote request — this is the primary reason we collect contact information.
To understand how our website is used and improve it — via anonymised Google Analytics data.
We do not use your information for unsolicited marketing. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to any third party.
Who We Share It With
Google Analytics — anonymised, aggregated analytics data is processed by Google under their data processing terms. No personally identifiable information is shared.
Microsoft 365 — inquiries submitted via our contact form are received in our Microsoft 365 mailboxes for internal use only.
No other third parties receive your personal information. We do not use CRM platforms, marketing automation tools, or advertising networks.
How We Protect It
Our website is served over HTTPS. Contact form submissions are transmitted encrypted and stored on servers located in Canada.
Access to inquiry data is restricted to AltaCom staff who need it to respond to your request. We retain contact form submissions for up to 24 months, after which they are deleted.
Your Rights
Under PIPEDA and Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, and request deletion where retention is no longer necessary.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@altacom.ca. We will respond within 30 days.
Cookies
We use Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to measure website traffic. These cookies do not identify you personally and expire after 2 years.
You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on available at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. You can also delete or block cookies at any time through your browser settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date below. Continued use of our website after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
