Claude.ai Free and Pro are consumer products intended for individual use. They lack the administrative controls that businesses require: there is no SSO, no admin console, no centralised user management, and on some tiers your inputs may be reviewed by Anthropic staff or used to improve their models. Claude Teams and Claude Enterprise are purpose-built for organisations — your data is never used for model training, you get a full admin console, SSO integration with your identity provider, and audit logging. The underlying AI capability is the same; the governance and control layer is entirely different.
Claude Teams is Anthropic's managed plan for smaller organisations — it provides the core business controls (admin console, data privacy commitments, no training on your data) with a lower per-seat minimum.
