Accessibility Statement

AltaCom is committed to ensuring that www.altacom.ca is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA.

We believe accessible design is good design — it benefits everyone, not just users with disabilities. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time project.

Semantic HTML structure — we use proper heading hierarchy, landmark regions, and descriptive link text throughout the site.

Keyboard navigation — all interactive elements are reachable and operable using a keyboard alone.

Colour contrast — text and UI elements meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios in both light and dark modes.

Alt text — meaningful images include descriptive alternative text. Decorative images are marked as presentational.

Responsive design — the site adapts to different screen sizes and zoom levels up to 400% without loss of functionality.

We are aware that some areas of the site may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are actively working to identify and resolve these issues.

Rich text content in our blog is generated through a CMS and may occasionally contain accessibility gaps. We review new content regularly.

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 3 business days and to resolve confirmed issues as quickly as possible.

We conduct periodic accessibility reviews and address issues as they are identified. New features and pages are reviewed for accessibility before publication.
